Edward Sullivan (born 1960 in New York City, NY) is an American author, speaker, and investor. He is considered a expert in the intersection of business, government, and the nonprofit sector. His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Fast Company, USA Today, as well as other national press. After graduating from Wharton, Sullivan joined the investment firm Goldman Sachs. He worked in the firm's investment banking division for five years, before leaving to start his own business. Sullivan has worked with a wide range of clients, including CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, heads of state, and nonprofit leaders.[1]

Early life and education

Sullivan was born in New York City in 1960. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School. When he attended Harvard University, he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in government. After college, he worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company. In 1990, he received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.[2]

Sullivan is a frequent speaker at conferences and events around the world. He is also the author of two books: "The Power of Insight: How to See What Others Miss" (2012) and "The Leadership Habit: How to Become a More Effective Leader in 7 Weeks" (2015).[3][4]

Awards and recognition

Sullivan has been recognized for his work as a leader and coach. He was named one of the "Top 50 Coaches in America" by Forbes magazine in 2016. He is also a recipient of the "Distinguished Alumni Award" from Harvard University.[5]

Sullivan is married and has two children. He lives in New York City.
