Edvinas Valatka also known as Edd (born January 9, 1997) is a professional football player from Lithuania. He has been playing at a high level for the past 7 years, and is known for his versatility and skill on the field.
Early Life and Career
Valatka was born in Kazlu Ruda, Lithuania but soon after moved to Ireland (Kilfinane[1] Co.Limerick) at a young age where he went to school (Scoil Pol) and began his football career playing for a local club Kilmallock United in Ireland followed by other sporting involvements such as rugby, hurling, and athletics[2]. He quickly gained recognition for his athleticism, and eventually made his way to higher grades within the youth footballing system representing the emerging talent program in the University of Limerick 2 year program along with Munster schools squad and many more representations.
Professional Career
In 2016, Valatka signed with Kingstonians Fc club in the non league system of the English 7 tier football. He quickly established himself as a key player for the team, and captained his club in his first season. Valatka continued to impress during the season, where he was invited for trials in Portugal with a division 4 club.
In 2016/17 January's transfer window , Valatka signed with tier 4 Scottish club Selkirk Fc. He was instrumental in helping the team in his first season of being at the club. The following season of 2017/2018 Valatka joined Crawleys newly formed club u23 squad where the same year the Liverpool's champions league medalist Harry Kewell was in management. Following the next few seasons spent playing for various high level non league clubs. Valatka made a move to the big rock of gibraltar playing in the professional league with Europa point before making a move in January 2021/22 to the Swedish professional side (tier 3) Linkoping City fc. Due to the financial situation of the club forced Valatka to seek another venture where he found himself returning to the Gibraltar premier league where he Joined Glacis United.[3] During his short spell with Glacis Valatka made a return to the Swedish club of division 2 (tier 4) where he currently plays now. Valatka is known for his dedication and hard work on the field, and is admired by fans and fellow players alike for his skill, determination, and leadership qualities. Edvinas Valatka is also know for his social media presence on tiktok[4] and instragram[5] where hes accumulated a large following.[2]
