Eduardo Losan, Jose Eduardo Lopez Sanchez,[1] (born May 16, 1993)[2] is a Guatemalan actor best known for his portrayal of Enrique the cha-cha instructor on the Showtime Networks series On Becoming a God in Central Florida, Durando on the AMC (TV channel) series Preacher (TV series) and also the role of Lube on the horror Haunting on Fraternity Row[3] directed by Brant Sersen.
Early life and education
Losan was born and raised in Gautemala. In 2011 he graduated from Colegio Interamericano in Guatemala and relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana. He holds a dual bachelor’s degree in film & theatre arts and business administration from the University of New Orleans. He has also completed various acting courses and has attended workshops, including the T. Schreiber Studio and The Atlantic Acting School. After attending a workshop with Casting Director Lisa Marie Dupree he was invited to audition for the film Haunting on Fraternity Row consequently booking his first SAG-AFTRA role.
Losan is also skilled in various dance forms, including salsa, cha-cha, and bachata.
Career
Losan has established himself as a versatile actor with performances spanning various genres. He made his breakthrough performance in Paul Schrader's Master Gardener, which brought him into the industry spotlight and solidified his status as a respected figure in film.[4]
Losan is best known for portraying a Cha Cha instructor in On Becoming a God in Central Florida. He also appeared as a guest star in AMC's Mayfair Witches.[5]
Losan made his directorial debut with the film Escaping Alameda, a dystopian drama that tells the story of a young enslaved woman forced to collect precious rocks in a distant land called Alameda.[6][7]
