Eduardo Robles is one of the world’s leading themed architects. With his company Creative Kingdom, Inc., Eduardo has been responsible for the designs of major resort projects around the world.

Biography

Born in 1953 in Mexicali, BC, Mexico, Eduardo is a highly successful, creative entrepreneur in various fields. He is co-founder, with Mr. Thanu Boonyawatana of Creative Kingdom Inc,[1][2] an American Architectural design firm established in Los Angeles, California, in 1997 focused on themed experiences. As CEO and Product Architect for CKA Thailand, Eduardo is responsible for publishing Click Magazine, Toon Boon Magazine, and producing Chiang Mai Rascals, a 3D cartoon airing on TV in Thailand. Eduardo is also co-founder of Prefab Homes and Kingdom Alliance Aviation.[3]

He attended the prestigious University Autonoma in Guadalajara, graduating in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in Architecture. In 1984, Eduardo was hired by Herbert Nadel Architects in Santa Monica, California, where he obtained his USA working residence visa and moved to the US.

Eduardo next joined WATG in Costa Mesa, CA., where he received extensive knowledge in Resorts and mix-use projects working under Gerald Allison. He was chief Architect and designer on the renowned Palace of the Lost City at Sun City in the Boputhaswana homeland, working under the prominent Sun International developer Mr. Sol Kerzner.[4]

After completing this flagship project for WATG, he went to work for Henry Conversano and Associates in San Francisco designing casinos in Australia. He then moved to Landmark Entertainment Group in Hollywood, California. There he formed and was Vice President of the 5th Division responsible for the showboat in Darling Harbor, the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town for Sun International, and the Dessert Kingdom for Harass casinos. The firm was later bought by Al Waleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz and Singer artist Michael Jackson in 1995.

In 1997, Eduardo co-founded CKI in Los Angeles, CA, with offices downtown at the famous Los Angeles Central Studios. In 2000, he and his team finished work for Southern Sun on the Montecasino and Hemingway’s hotels in South Africa. Under Mr. Ken Rosevear, VP MGM Grand moved his team to South Africa and started the architectural firm CKSA to design and produce The Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.

During this same time, also he co-founded a Record Label Creative Kingdom Records (CKR)[5]. Specialized in R&B and Hip hop with Manager and producer Sipho Dlamini.

In May 2002, Eduardo co-founded CKD, an Architectural office in Dubai, to do consulting work design for Mr. Sultan Bin Sulayem under Nakheel (a Semi government Dubai entity). The company was responsible for designing and building the iconic Palm Island Jebel Ali and World Island[6]s. He also designed the famous Madinath Jumeirah Resort for Jumeirah International with Dene Murphy from Mirage Miles Resorts for Sheikh Mohamed, ruler of Dubai[7]. He was also involved in the Park Hyatt residences and Golf Course under Sheik Ahmed's direction and in Abu Dhabi, the well-known Saint Regis, and many private Sheikh Palaces in the region. [1]

Eduardo is now one of the most successful architects in Thailand, with 325 employees at the Offices in Kad Susan Kaew Chiang Mai Thailand. Under his leadership, Eduardo's local and international employees can produce architectural drawings, master planning, CG 3D animation, and architectural models, among many other capabilities.

In 2007, Eduardo and his team were put to the test when Caesar Casinos, owned by Harris Casinos, hired him to create their design for the Sentosa Island Singapore competition. Eduardo, his team, and staff from Caesar's remained in the Chiang Mai offices for eight weeks completing the design.[1]

In his prolific twenty-four-year career as chairman and CEO of Creative Kingdom Inc., Eduardo has grown the company to more than 700 people in five offices worldwide. Now, Creative Kingdom Inc, under his leadership, is continuing to expand to New Zealand, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia as well other branches in the USA. [1]

Eduardo became an American citizen in 1999. Eduardo has established residences in the USA, Thailand, and Dubai, constantly traveling and has worked in more than 50 countries around the world. Eduardo has a son Eduardo Robles III and a daughter Monica Robles. His son, with his wife Stephanie and five children, lives in Thailand, where he leads the Game division of the group. His daughter Monica is in charge of Creative Kingdom's Los Angeles Office.
