Abbot Edmond Rizk (born March 1, 1976) is a Lebanese Maronite priest and member of the Maronite Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Abbot Rizk has served in various religious, pastoral, and educational roles both in Lebanon and in Rome.
Early life and education
Born in Raachin, Lebanon, on March 1, 1976, Abbot Edmond Rizk entered the religious seminary on October 10, 1988, at the Monastery of St. Doumit in Faitroun. He began his novitiate on November 6, 1994, at the Monastery of Saints Sergius and Bacchus in Aachqout, where he professed his temporary vows on September 28, 1996. He later professed his perpetual vows on December 16, 2000, at the Monastery of Saint Anthony the Great in Rome.
Abbot Rizk was ordained priest on July 20, 2002, at the Monastery of St. Doumit in Faitroun.
He pursued his philosophical and theological studies at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik and the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. He obtained a diploma in Mariology from the Marianum Pontifical Institute (2003) and continued specialization in Biblical Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University (2005). He later pursued postgraduate studies (DEA) in Theology at the Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Kaslik (2011), and earned a licentiate in Eastern Canon Law from La Sagesse University (2016). He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Pontifical Lateran University, focusing on the juridical and spiritual aspects of the Marian Congregation in Lebanon.

Chaplain for the Lebanese Scouts and Girl Guides at Our Lady of Louaize (2005–2011)
General Spiritual Director of the Fraternities in Lebanon (since 2016)
He is a member of several ecclesiastical committees, including the Patriarchal Committee for the Comprehensive National Educational Charter and the Priestly Council of the Patriarchal Diocese - Sarba Vicariate.
In addition, Abbot Rizk has written and presented numerous religious and theological programs on Télé Lumière and NourSat, and provided commentary and translation for Vatican celebrations on multiple Lebanese television channels.
