Edin Krnić (born January 7, 1968, in Tuzi, Socialist Republic of Montenegro, then part of SFR Yugoslavia) is a Montenegrin travel writer, author, and producer of the documentary travel TV series Around the World with Edin Krnić, which has been airing on Montenegro’s national broadcaster Radio and Television of Montenegro RTCG since September 2022.

Biography

Edin Krnić developed an interest in different cultures and peoples from an early age. He began traveling extensively in 2004, and from 2015 he started documenting his journeys through video and photography. This work later evolved into a full-fledged television series broadcast nationwide.

Television series

Around the World with Edin Krnić is a documentary travel series broadcast on RTCG. Krnić travels to remote parts of the world, including countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Pacific, documenting the lives, customs, and spirituality of local and often indigenous communities.

The series is known for its authentic and human-centered storytelling, focusing on intercultural connections, tradition, and everyday life far from typical tourist routes.

Travels

As of today, Krnić has visited 153 internationally recognized countries and 19 territories. His travels span all continents and often include isolated regions, nomadic tribes, and underrepresented cultures.

He is recognized for documenting rare cultural practices and lifestyles, and for establishing personal connections with local communities, often relying on non-verbal communication.

Awards and recognition
