Edewali is a small village of 978 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Edewali depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Edewali is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Edewali's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02031600. The area of Edewali is segregated as the 977.89 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 0.08 hectare area not available for cultivation.
