East Matasar is a small village of 869 hectares in Barmer Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. East Matasar depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. East Matasar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. East Matasar's pin code is 344035[4], and village code is 02215600. The area of East Matasar is segregated as 851.28 hectares unirrigated, the 13.71 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 3.54 hectare area not available for cultivation.

East Matasar is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 726 and has total administration over 130 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
