EDM Maniac is an independent digital lifestyle publication and events company specializing in Electronic Dance Music. It was founded in 2012 by Devin Lezama to organize, promote, and write about EDM events around the country.[1][2]

EDM Maniac has gained global recognition for producing technologically advanced live streams and organizing weekly CDC-compliant live events in addition to their internet publication. EDM Maniac aims to promote and scale the electronic dance community's ever-changing scene both online and offline through its different verticals.[3]

Since its inception, the company has collaborated with numerous artists from across the world including Green Velvet, Gorgon City, Paul Oakenfold and more.

History

Devin Lezama launched EDM Maniac in 2012, with headquarters in Los Angeles. EDM Maniac began as a platform to promote EDM culture through social media. It eventually grew into a multifaceted brand that included a publication and an events firm.[4]

During the Covid-19 pandemic, EDM Maniac gained recognition for organizing CDC-approved live events. With its EDM Drive-In events, the company worked with Electric Fiesta, one of the first promoters in the country to innovate in the live entertainment sector during the pandemic. It also teamed up with Eclectic Events to create Central California's first-ever socially remote "DisDance" pod event. It was a socially distant, immersive pod party experience in the countryside of California's central valley. Artists from across the world performed at Hobbs Grove in Sanger, Fresno County.

In early 2021, EDM Maniac partnered with global events company Insomniac Events to produce weekly livestreams on Insomniac TV, their streaming TV network. The residency, still ongoing, features new dance music episodes that use state of the art production. The episodes air every week and are produced by EDM Maniac and distributed by Insomniac.[5][6]

EDM Maniac, as of 2021, offers long-form writing, interviews, and lifestyle coverage on upcoming dance artists and events across the world. Since its inception, EDM Maniac has branched out to various locations across the country including, Austin, San Diego, Las Vegas, to name a few.[7]
