History and operations
Duelbits was launched in February 2020 by Liquid Gaming N.V.,[1] initially operating exclusively as a crypto casino. The platform's early focus was on proprietary, blockchain-based games such as Dice, Crash, and Roulette, which are standard in the crypto-gambling sector.[2]
Throughout its first year, the platform expanded its library by integrating software from major third-party game developers, including Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, Push Gaming, and Evolution Gaming. This expansion allowed the site to offer traditional video slots, table games, and live dealer rooms.
In late 2021, Duelbits integrated a sportsbook, allowing users to place pre-match and live bets on traditional sports leagues (such as the English Premier League, NBA, and NFL) as well as esports tournaments (including CS:GO, Dota 2, and League of Legends).
The platform operates on a crypto-first financial model. It processes deposits and withdrawals directly through blockchain networks, supporting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Solana, and Ripple. For users without existing cryptocurrency holdings, the platform integrated third-party fiat-to-crypto gateways, enabling the purchase of digital assets using traditional payment methods like Visa, Mastercard, and WebMoney.[3]
Sponsorships and brand ambassadors
To increase its visibility in the traditional sports and esports markets, Duelbits has executed several high-profile sponsorship agreements.
- Football: During the 2022–2023 season, the platform became the official European betting partner for the English Premier League club Aston Villa F.C.
- Combat Sports: The company signed Irish mixed martial artist and former UFC champion Conor McGregor as a global brand ambassador, utilizing his image for promotional campaigns.[4]
- Snooker: In 2023, Duelbits became the title sponsor for the 2023 Tour Championship|Duelbits Tour Championship, a professional snooker ranking tournament held in the United Kingdom, as well as the Players Championship and World Grand Prix.[5]
- Esports: In 2025, Duelbits signed a partnership agreement with Team Liquid, one of the largest global esports organizations. The partnership included brand integration across Team Liquid’s digital channels and tournament appearances.[6]
Regulation and compliance
Duelbits is owned and operated by Liquid Gaming N.V., a company registered in Curaçao. The platform conducts its global operations under a sub-license issued by Gaming Curacao.[7]
Due to variations in online gambling legislation, Duelbits enforces geo-blocking measures. The platform does not accept user registrations or real-money wagers from jurisdictions where offshore online gambling is strictly prohibited or requires local licensing, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and France.[8]
