Draeger Interlock Today
Draeger Interlock is a United States based service operation and has an extensive network of service centers all over the nation, with qualified technicians who can install an ignition interlock device on nearly any vehicle type. The installation requirements are completed as per the regulations of the applicable state. To provide users with the best experience and make it easier to find a local installer, Draeger Interlock has a location feature on their website where users can enter their city, or zip, and receive recommendations on the nearest location.
Draeger Interlock goes beyond providing the latest breath alcohol testing and oral fluid drug screening technology; we are committed to making roads safe. To support this, Draeger works closely with other partners, including the Pennsylvania DUI Association Meeting[2], sponsoring the annual meeting to educate on the new challenges in impaired driving.

The Ignition Interlock device[https://www.draeger.com/en-us_us/Applications/Productselector/Alcohol-Ignition-Interlock is connected directly to a vehicle’s ignition system. Before taking a drive, you're required to provide a sample to assess your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC) by blowing into the attached mouthpiece. The interlock device will then measure your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) and automatically determine whether to start the vehicle dependent on the BrAC measurement and the threshold BrAC setting of the device.
If the breath sample exceeds the breath alcohol concentration limit setting of the device (as determined by applicable state regulation), the interlock device temporarily prevents the vehicle from starting until an adequate sample can later be provided.
In some cases, the interlock device might require a retest during your commute (called a rolling retest). In such a case, the device will notify you a few minutes in advance to allow you sufficient time to pull over safely and to stop operating your vehicle before taking the retest.
If you fail the retest, the device logs the failed test according to the ignition interlock regulations of your state as opposed to bringing the car to a sudden, dangerous stop.
After installation, the interlock device requires regular maintenance, anywhere from every 30 to 60 days, at which time Draeger Interlock service technicians download data from the device and make sure it is working correctly. The device provides regular alerts on all the upcoming maintenance protocols.
