Dr. Maya Sharma (born 7 August 1978) is an Indian medical professional and business executive. She is currently the Vice President of Novo Nordisk, India, where she also heads the Department of Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR), leading a team of more than 200 people.
Early life and education
Maya Sharma was born on 7 August 1978 in Ajmer, Rajasthan, and grew up in Jaipur. She studied at Saint Soldier's School. She later pursued medical education at Kuban State Medical University in Krasnodar, Russia, earning an Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. In addition, she completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
Career
After completing her education, Sharma began working in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. She has held positions at several multinational and Indian organizations, including:
