Dr. Jagdeep Singh Randhawa (born on October 25th, 1962) is an Indian film director, writer, editor, producer and actor known for his works in Hindi cinema. Along with a successful career as a medical professional, Dr. J. S. Randhawa ventured into film-making with the aim of spreading social messages through entertainment. He launched his production house Reverberation Films Pvt Ltd. In 2015. In 2017, their first movie, Muskurahatein[1], was released in theatres and later on OTT platforms such as Jio Cinema[2].Jio Cinema.

Career

He completed his M.B.B.S. and M.D. in Radio Diagnosis from Agra University. In 2000, he founded a teaching academy, Institute of Ultrasound Training[3]in New Delhi. In 2015, his thirst for constantly moving ahead in experience led him into movie-making with the purpose of sharing stories inspired by real life, and a social message. In 2017, his production house released their first movie, Muskurahatein featuring senior actors Sanjay MishraSanjay Mishra (actor) and Rakesh Bedi[[4]]. Dr. Randhawa also debuted in the movie as an actor. The movie takes a mature view at a platonic affair between a married professor and his student, and how it challenges their respective marriages. Reverberation Films is all set to release their next production, 10 nahi 40, which is a drama-comedy based on senior citizens and their lives.

Personal Life

Dr. J. S. Randhawa was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India to a humble family. His father was a Government lawyer and mother worked in the telephone department, and he was the eldest of 3 children. In 1993, he married his college sweetheart, Dr. Sonal Randhawa. The couple accredits their long, happy marriage to their like-mindedness. They share similar philosophies and are both atheists.
