Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri (أحمد طالب الجبوري), an Iraqi businessman and investor and the founder of Armada Group, was born in Baghdad, Iraq (1974)[1], where he attended Baghdad College. He then went on to receive his BSc and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Baghdad. Later on, Al-Jibouri obtained his PhD in the US. Al-Jibouri has an experience of over 18 years in the petroleum and oil & gas derivatives industry.

Al-Jibouri was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. Despite having large family, Al Jibouri has been successful in maintaining strong ties with all family members. Al-Jibouri is still playing a great role taking care of his own family, where he invests in his children the same way his family did to him.

Other than his interest in the oil & gas and chemical industries and in being acquainted with the latest researches and studies related to them, Al-Jibouri advocates for gender equality laws and tackling Iraqi female and youth empowerment, as he believes that will better the socioeconomic wealth of Iraq. Dr. Al-Jibouri continuously aims to ensure that women’s views are adequately presented both politically and in the workforce in general in order to tackle problems from a multitude of angels. He also strongly believes in youth and equality, and has the intention of building a platform for youth to showcase their talents. Al-Jibouri considers gender equality and youth empowerment as fundamental traits towards creating more inclusive, safe and economically prosperous communities.
Tashjee Initiative
Building on his interest in youth empowerment, this initiative consists of Al-Jibouri’s collaboration with Princess Sumaya University to guide, counsel and encourage young individuals to generate creative ideas and launch them with the help of Artificial Intelligence.
Humanitarian Work
Al-Jibouri dedicates a major part of his efforts to help improve the welfare of his communities. He is keen on alleviating the suffering of individuals by supporting cancer patients, as he donates to the King Hussein Cancer Center. As a humanitarian, Al-Jibouri has been an indispensable help in the fight against hunger, this is evident in his most recent collaboration with Tkiyet Um Ali to deliver food parcels to underprivileged people, and he had a major part of the distribution of food packages in the refugee areas of Erbil. He is also helping in the construction of an orphanage in Iraq’s capital city. Moreover, Al-Jibouri invests in his community’s youth by offering entrepreneurship opportunities in various modern fields as part of the Ahmed Al-Jibouri Foundation activities. He also launches ongoing charitable projects that aim to support less fortunate communities.
Awards & Recognitions
In 2011, Al-Jibouri was given the award of “Successful Entrepreneur” from the Iraqi Business Council. He has also become a trusted authority in the oil and gas industry and chemical engineering, with proposed thoughts and solutions to build a better community.
