Dov YaHudy Grossman, is also known as Dovid Yehuda Grossman and "Daryl" was born November 1963 and is an American painter.
Biography
Dov YaHudy was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Dr. Maurice S. Grossman and Lois Ruth Grossman.[1]
He graduated with a Psychology degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982. He studied Cartoon drawing at a local Hobby Lobby in the summer of 1981, Pencil and Charcoal Drawing at Austin College in Sherman Texas in 1985, and Painting at Oakton Community College under Professor Mark Palmeri MA in 2016. He also studied Acrylic painting online with Ginger Cook (online Academy of Fine Art and Acrylic Painting) in 2016.
Dov YaHudy built up a range of art from 2015 to the Present inspired by the Style of Expressionism and Impressionism depicting a range of subjects including Nature, Landscapes, People, Animals, Still Lifes and Floral Arrangements.
In 2023 Dov YaHudy self-published and distributed a Jewish Calendar featuring the Hebrew calendar|Hebrew Year 5784 and centering on the Chabad Jewish religion.
Dov YaHudy currently lives in Chicago Illinois and his art in featured in Gallery 187 in Utopia Texas, Bais Menachem synagogue and numerous private collections in Illinois, New York, Texas and Wisconsin.
Dov YaHudy Grossman is the cousin of artist Kay Rosen and frequently seeks her advice for the creation and exhibition of his art.
His main inspiration in art, according to his website was mother, Lois Ruth Grossman who was also an artist. She actively producing paintings and drawings from 1956 to 1977 (when she passed away from cancer) and taught art in the Corpus Christi school system, Del Mar College and Texas A&I University (now Texas A&M Corpus Christi)[2]. Also, according to the website, 4 year-old Dov YaHudy used to regularly attend classes until he started kindergarten at age 6.
His paintings reside in Synagogues, Jewish Institutions and private collections of Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin and Israel.
