Doongar Saran is a small village of 16011 hectares in Simalwara Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Doongar Saran depends on Sagwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and One spring. Doongar Saran is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Doongar Saran's pin code is 314030[4], and village code is 03369700. The area of Doongar Saran is segregated as 66 hectares irrigated area, 845 hectares unirrigated, the 688 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 59 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sagwara and Dungarpur to sell ghee and make their living.
