Doodhiya is a small village of 4305 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Doodhiya depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Doodhiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Doodhiya's pin code is 345023[4], and village code is 02049800. The area of Doodhiya is segregated as 1599 hectares unirrigated, the 2506 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 200 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of POKARAN and Jaisalmer to sell wool and make their living.
