Abdelatif Atefli, known by his stage name Dontif, is an Moroccan rapper, performing in Tamazight.
Biography
Amazigh rapper Dontif, born Abdellatif Atefli in 2000 in Tiznit, Morocco, is causing a stir in the music business. Dontif began his rap career in 2014 with Moroccan Darija and has recently switched to rapping in Tamazight, his native tongue.[1] His debut Tamazight song, "Holliday, demonstrates how he combines Amazigh influences with modern rap. Strong lyrics by Dontif explore his social life, cultural background, and sense of identity. He was chosen among L'Boulevard Festival Tremplin 2023 competitors to participate in the best Moroccan rap and hip-hop competition, making him the first ever from Tiznit to do so.[2][3]
