Dongurli is a small village of 1016 hectares in Satari Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dongurli depends on VALPOI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dongurli is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Dongurli's pin code is 403506[5], and village code is 00012500. The area of Dongurli is segregated as 97.3 hectares irrigated area, 301.39 hectares unirrigated, the 194.13 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 57.92 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dongurli has One post office (Thana B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Dongurli has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics

Dongurli is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 1534 and has total administration over 339 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of VALPOI and North Goa to sell wooden furnitur and make their living.
