Diego Gilberte (born August 20, 1994) is a Spanish actor.
Early life and education
He was born in Barcelona, Catalonia, and grew up in Lliçà d'Amunt, a town near the city.[1]. He performed his first play at his primary school CEIP Sant Baldiri. Years later, in 2014, studying a degree in medicine in Barcelona, he tried his luck in acting, appearing for a casting for the television series "Game of Thrones". He finally acted as a specialist for House Tyrell in season 6.[1] He then joined the Col·legi de Teatre de Barcelona, where he studied Higher Studies in Dramatic Art and Theater Acting from 2015 to 2018.[2]
Career
During his studies, Diego has acted in short films, such as "Mártires de oro" in the leading role of Martín, "Rueda" in the role of David, "Helianthus" a short film that was released in Girona theaters in Barcelona in the role of Kevin and "Ancorada" in the leading role of Andreu at the ESCAC school. In addition, he has participated in theater, where he has played roles such as -La Ira- in "El Cerebro" directed by La Fura dels Baus and Fundació Èpica, The Man in "Enero" a theatrical adaptation of the work by Angélica Liddell and more theater shows.[1]
He appeared in television productions such "Emerald City (TV series)" as a stuntman for jack and an action specialist, has participated in various television productions, such as the TV3 series "Moebius",[3] directed by Eduard Cortés, in Netflix's "El Inocente"; where he played a police officer in a chapter directed by Oriol Paulo. He has also appeared on Netflix's "Hache" and as a stuntman on HBO's "Westworld (TV series)," where he played the character of an Italian civilian in action scenes directed by Jonathan Nolan, Richard J. Lewis and Lisa Joy. In addition, his collaboration as an action specialist in HBO's "Game of Thrones", in the sixth season directed by Jack Bender.[1]
Throughout his career, in 2023 Diego continues his work and also training at his school, at the Col legi de Teatre in Barcelona.[1]
