Dholiya is a small village of 5626 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dholiya depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dholiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Dholiya's pin code is 345031[4], and village code is 02050900. The area of Dholiya is segregated as 53 hectares irrigated area, 2634 hectares unirrigated, the 2795 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 144 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dholiya has One post office (Dholiya B.O) and Thirty Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dholiya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Dholiya is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2463 and has total administration over 419 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of POKARAN and Jaisalmer to sell ghee and make their living.
