Dheengsi is a small village of 287 hectares in Keshoraipatan Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dheengsi depends on KAPRAIN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Dheengsi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dheengsi's pin code is 323803[3], and village code is 02745200. The area of Dheengsi is segregated as 25 hectares irrigated area, 59 hectares unirrigated, the 79 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 123.71 hectare area not available for cultivation.
