Dhaysar is a small village of 7152 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhaysar depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dhaysar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Dhaysar's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02038300. The area of Dhaysar is segregated as 654.12 hectares irrigated area, 310.32 hectares unirrigated, the 5394.28 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 793.15 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dhaysar has One post office (Dhaisar B.O) and Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dhaysar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Dhaysar is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1262 and has total administration over 182 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell blanket and make their living.
