Dharna is a small village of 2592 hectares in Jayal Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dharna depends on Nagaur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dharna is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Dharna's pin code is 341030[4], and village code is 01791900. The area of Dharna is segregated as 2275.14 hectares unirrigated, the 251.73 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 64.83 hectare area not available for cultivation.
