Dhanwa is a small village of 158.7 hectares in Mahasi Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhanwa depends on Nanpara (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Dhanwa's pin code is 271851[4], and village code is 06470600. The area of Dhanwa is segregated as 45 hectares irrigated area, 158 hectares unirrigated area. the 60 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 105 hectare area not available for cultivation.
