Dhanta is a small village of 1771 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhanta depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 90.30% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dhanta is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dhanta's pin code is 343041[4], and village code is 02328300. The area of Dhanta is segregated as 625.42 hectares irrigated area, 863.63 hectares unirrigated, the 196.03 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 86.18 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
