Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani (born 5 February 1986) is Group President in Reliance Industries Limited[1] and vice president of Gujarat Cricket Association.[2][3]
Early Life
Dhanraj Nathwani was born to politician and businessman Parimal Nathwani, and Varsha Nathwani.[2]
Education
Nathwani studied International Business from Regent's Business School London (UK).[4]. After graduation, he was was posted as Group Senior Vice President at Reliance Industries|Reliance Industries Limited.[5]
Career
Nathwani is the Group President at Reliance Industries Limited.[6]
Nathwani was elected uncontested as a vice president of the Gujarat Cricket Association in Ahmedabad on 28th September 2019.[7][8]
As Vice President of Gujarat Cricket Association, Nathwani was part of the core team which organized the 'Namaste Trump' event in February 2020 with US President Mr. Donald Trump and India's Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi at newly built largest cricket stadium at Motera in Ahmedabad.[9]
He was part of core team for construction of the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The project was reportedly the brainchild of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was the president of GCA before Amit Shah.[10][11]
He also played an important role during the inauguration of world's largest cricket stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium at Motera in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.[12][13] As GCA's Vice President, He actively participated in management of domestic Indian cricket tournamentIPL 2021.[14][15]
Nathwani is vice-chairman of Dwarka Devsthan Samiti which manages the Dwarkadhish temple and development of facilities around the temple for the benefit of devotees.[16]
Nathwani is a Director in Reliance Group Support Services Private Limited which provides customized security solutions to industrial units.[17] Previously, he has been also elected as President of GSFA(Gujarat State Football Association) in 2017.[18]
Personal Life
On 17th February 2014, Nathwani married Bhoomi, in a traditional Gujarati wedding ceremony, which was attended by Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Mukesh Ambani, Late Ahmed Patel.[19]
