Dhankya is a small village of 702 hectares in Jaipur Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhankya depends on Bagru, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 446.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dhankya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dhankya's pin code is 302012[4], and village code is 01563000. The area of Dhankya is segregated as 446 hectares irrigated area, 156 hectares unirrigated, the 50.59 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 49.21 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bagru and Jaipur to sell leather shoes and make their living.
