Dhangaon is a small village of 468 hectares in Simalwara Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhangaon depends on Sagwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 95.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dhangaon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dhangaon's pin code is 314030[4], and village code is 03371300. The area of Dhangaon is segregated as 95 hectares irrigated area, 201 hectares unirrigated, the 162 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 10 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dhangaon is a census village in the district of Dungarpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2000 and has total administration over 386 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sagwara and Dungarpur to sell furniture and make their living.
