Dhakwa is a small village of 14 hectares in Fatehpur Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhakwa depends on Fatehpur (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Dhakwa's pin code is 225304[4], and village code is 05718300. The area of Dhakwa is segregated as 95 hectares irrigated area, 35 hectares unirrigated area. the 8 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 26 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Fatehpur (NP) and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
