Derek Webster (born 1 January, 1981) is an American actor. He is famous for his roles in television shows In the Dark, 9-1-1: Lone Star, CSI: Vegas and Mayor of Kingstown.

Career

Derek Webster started acting in the late 1980s.[1] He appeared in over 100 films and television shows.

Among TV shows he guest starred in were Grey's Anatomy, Castle, Good Doctor. He recurred on Ray Donovan, Star Trek: Picard as Romulan Guard, Harry's Law, Damages, NCIS: New Orleans as Raymond Isler and on CSI:Vegas as new coroner, Dr. Milton Hudson.[2]

He also recurred on 9-1-1: Lone Star as Charles, husband of Gina Torres' character, Captain Tommy Vega.[3][4] He left the show during the second season when his character died of aneurysm.[5][6] He was cast in Lee Daniels TV series Our Kind of People.[7]

Webster was main cast member on the first season of In the Dark[8]. He is also main cast member on Mayor of Kingstown starring Jeremy Renner and Dianne Wiest[9]. He plays Kingstown police officer Stevie,[10] a loyal ally to the McLusky family.

Film

He appeared in three films directed by Roland Emmerich: Independence Day, Godzilla and Stargate, where he played Lieutenant Brown, a member of Captain Jack O'Neill's team who met gruesome fate and was killed by one of the Horus guards.[11] In Independence Day starring Will Smith Webster played the role of a pilot who was sent to make the first contact with one of the alien ships.[12]
