Deplorable Instinct is a psychological horror novel and slasher novel written by Matthew Holman releasing on February 5th, 2024. The novel features a chilling in depth look at the perspective of a 14 year old school shooter with antisocial personality disorder. The author alleges the novel is "psychologically accurate" and peer reviewed by licensed psychologists, with a focus on the feelings and experiences of a mass murderer in their early teens. The novel is yet to be released and has been delayed several times. The novel features incredibly graphic scenes of gore, torture and child abuse and is seen as highly controversial in various internet communities.
