Deora is a small village of 9014 hectares in Fatehgarh Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Deora depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Deora is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Deora's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02075100. The area of Deora is segregated as 7079.08 hectares unirrigated, the 1572.07 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 363.14 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Deora is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1929 and has total administration over 325 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell cot and make their living.
