Deopura is a small village of 630 hectares in Amet Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Deopura depends on DEOGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 52.05% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Deopura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Deopura's pin code is 313334[4], and village code is 02971600. The area of Deopura is segregated as 52.05 hectares irrigated area, 37.85 hectares unirrigated, the 58.07 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 335.03 hectare area not available for cultivation.
