Denton “Ollie” Oliver, known professionally as Ollie Raps, is a Canadian rapper and singer from Toronto, Canada. His music incorporates elements of hip-hop.[1], emo rap, melodic rap, pop-rap, and sad rap. Ollie was raised in Port Dover[2], an unincorporated community and former town located in Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada.
He gained popularity through YouTube music channels and gaming communities[3] before releasing music through Warner Music Canada and Bertelsmann Music Group.
Career
According to Wonderland Magazine, Ollie’s music focuses on stories of heartbreak and mental health across gentle productions and melodic arrangements and Indiemusicdiscovery states his music blends alternative and melodic hip‑hop elements with themes of resilience and self-belief[4].Ollie first started building his career in the gaming community and on YouTube channels like Swagytracks, Promoting Sounds, bestmodernmusic and music4montage'[5].
Ollie has received radio play on stations like CKMS-FM 102.7 Radio Waterloo [6].
Ollie has toured in Europe, Canada and the United States[7].
On April 29, 2022 he released a single and video called "Wasted"[8] and “Affection,” from his EP Even When I’m Happy I Listen to Sad Music, that was released may 27, 2022. And released his EP Underrated[9][10], which is a collection of Pop music and hip-hop tracks. "Walls"[11] and "Perfect Landing" were released alongside his debut 14-track album Maybe This Was Supposed To Happen, which came out on April 17, 2020 and was released through Bertelsmann Music Group[12]. In 2019, he released a three-song EP titled Lost through Warner Music Canada. He also released "You & I" in 2019[13][14]
Ollie has collaborated with artists such as Iraqi–Canadian singer and songwriter Ali Gatie, Isaiah Faber (professionally known as Powfu)[15], and Witt Lowry[16].
Ollie has performed at venues such as VAS Shanghai in Shanghai[17], MAO Livehouse in Beijing and headlined the Space Romance festival[18]. Ollie has toured supporting Phora[19].
In 2025, Ollie toured the U.S. as part of The More Than Music Forever World Tour.
On September 5, 2025 Ollie released his single “This That,” from the album More Than Music Forever.
Personal life
Ollie is also a former athlete whose career was halted by a car accident that nearly claimed his life[20][21].
