Dennis Warner is a singer, songwriter, author and Americana musician, originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota, United States, who has recorded 11 albums, including one children’s cd. Starting at the age of 12, Dennis began teaching himself to play the 6-string guitar and later, the 12-string. He self-published a children’s book in 2004, Beads on One String, that illustrates the lyrics to the song by the same name. In 2005 the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts selected Beads on One String as the theme for that year’s Flint Hills International Children’s Festival. In 2023 Dennis and his band were invited to South Africa to present The Beads on One String Project to school children living in the underdeveloped racially segregated urban areas Township (South Africa)|townships.[1]

He has appeared on numerous television and radio programs including Lakeland PBS Television programs - Backroads and, Common Ground, National Public Radio shows Great Acoustics Live and River City Folk, and Minnesota Public Radio – Radio Heartland, all of which were nationally syndicated. In 1989-90 he created, produced and hosted a musical variety show public radio series call Jammin’ with Dennis Warner broadcast on several public radio stations.

Dennis has been a guest or featured in stories on numerous local television and radio stations including KMSP (Fox), KARE11 (NBC), WCCO Radio (Minneapolis), WBAI (New York City), WFMT (Chicago), CUIT Public Radio (Toronto). He has recorded, performed or collaborated with Peter Ostroushko as well as Freebo, Bobby Vee, George Mauer, Josh White, Jr., and Bethany Yarrow.

Three times, in 1996, 1997 and 1999, Dennis was recognized by the Kerrville Folk Festival as a New Folk Finalist.

Pilot Me CD– Dennis’ 11th album, debuted at #8 on the[2] Folk Radio charts for worldwide airplay. Dennis was among the top 10 artists of the month in folk music for August 2020. Seeds CD - Named one of the top CD’s in folk music (2012), based on worldwide radio play by radio monitoring service.[3]
