Dennis Osadebe (born 16 June 1976) is an African designer, owner of D&D Clothing company, founder of the first African Fashion Movement all over the world. In 2019 he became the first black designer who won 3rd place[1] in World Fashion Festival Awards in Dubai, UAE. He brought African fashion business to a new level.

Career

He began his career at 1980 in Asaba, selling the preowned cloth at the market. Having a good negotiating skills and believe after 2 years he was supplying cloth for the most of the shops in his state. After getting a basic capital he s leaving to India to try himself like a businessmen. For more than 20 years he was traveling all over the world and living in Europe, Asia, trying different business ideas. The big influence on him created his entertainment company DCS Entertainment, that was shooting Nollywood movies in Nigeria.

In 2016 he found himself in Dubai, UAE where he started his fashion business D&D Clothing, as he always had passion for it. Starting with a small team in his house, and buying fabrics at the market he grow to printing his own fabrics with own African heritage ideas. He has the one and only legally registered African Fashion Brand[2] all over UAE.

He always had ambitious development plan of his company, transforming it to the biggest African fashion brand in the world. Opening a production center[3] in Kenya, Nairobi, gave opportunity to the creation of franchising of his brand. He is the first African Black man who brought in Kenya more than 18 white people to make African clothes. Designers, tailors, merchandisers, marketing and IT people who works on his brand living in Kenya.

Creating a big impact on African fashion[4], he is planning to grow till his brand in each African home.

Investments

For the past 2 years Dennis Osadebe invest in the small startups created by young African entrepreneurs. Its not only fashion field but IT, Ecommerce and production. He believes has a big potential for a business people.
