Deniz UNAY (born September 18, 1977 in Adıyaman) is a Turkish writer and social media expert. [1]

Background

Unay, completed his primary and secondary education in Mersin and his higher education at Anadolu University Faculty of Business Administration. His father is a tradesman and his mother is a housewife. He has 2 siblings. He is married and has two children.

Career

After working as a manager in the textile and trade sector, he founded SociBox by making his first attempt in 2014. Unay, who first wrote mobile games and applications, has become famous in his field with his experience and knowledge in Internet technology and social media. At the same time, he provides management consultancy to many companies in the Education and Consultancy sector.[2]

Deniz Unay made a name for himself with his seminars, TV programs and articles on Internet_addiction_disorder|Internet addiction[3]. In 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years, with seminars on mobile life and its effects, Unay reached thousands of teachers, students and parents in primary, secondary and high schools across the country, and his seminars named "Internet Addiction" were supported by Ministry_of_National_Education_(Turkey)|Ministry of Education (MEB).[4] [5] [6] He also gave trainings for families at the Parent Academy in Istanbul. He was assigned by Ministry of Education to give seminars and training in the field of addiction technologies in 2 years successively. In more than 300 schools in Turkey, he has given students, parents, and teachers trainings on addiction to internet/game and has also provided training to teachers from various European countries under the Erasmus_Programme|Erasmus Project.[7] His seminars on internet and game addiction have been followed and reported by national and local media.[8]

Unay is one of the well-known speakers on TV programs with his knowledge and experience in the field of social media, and he has attended many live broadcast share his experience and knowledge on TV channels such as Ülke TV[9] (a discussion program named Odak Noktası with Mustafa Yıldız), TRT Haber[10], TVNET[11], 24_(Turkey)|24 TV[12] [13]

On March 8th, International Women's Day with #iyikiVarsınız post[14] and April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children's Day with #Birzamanlarçocuktular article,[15] he made an impact on the BİK (Basın İlan Kurumu - Press Ad Institution), in Anadolu Agency and other national and local media.
