Denis Phillips is a professional television meteorologist in Tampa, Florida. He currently serves as the Chief Meteorologist at ABC Action News WFTS Tampa Bay.[1] His Facebook-based Denis Phillips Live (DPL) airs live coverage airs to his 1 million plus followers as the "go-to source of information for all things hurricane-related" during hurricane season.[2] He is known for wearing suspenders and for encouraging Floridians to prepare for hurricanes and not "freak out".[3]
