Denis Kuvayev or Denys Kuvaiev, DenKuvaiev (Russian: Денис Борисович Куваев; born Jan 22, 1971) Denis Kuvayev is a recognized contemporary artist[1], photographer[2] and writer.
Biography
Denis Kuvayev was born in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. He has been painting since childhood. Since 1997, he is a professional artist getting inspiration from his travels around the world. From this time he lived and painted in Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia, Rome Italy, Vancouver Canada, Barcelona Spain, and Paris France.
Painting
The first personal exhibition of Denis Kuvaev named "The Time of Fire" took place in Chernivtsi, Ukraine in 1999, and consisted mainly of abstract paintings in red and white colors.[3] Two years later, in 2001, in Rome, Italy, where he lived for about 5 years, Denis Kuvaev's personal exhibition entitled "Procession of Fishes" was held, in which the theme of fish occupied the main place. The third solo exhibition took place a year later in Rome and was called "World Without Borders", which featured mainly Roman cityscapes. These first three solo exhibitions influenced the further development of Denis's work, in which three themes remain to this day - abstraction, fish, and cityscape, sometimes intertwined with each other.[4]
When in 2018 the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia published "Ocho paisajes que inspiraron a famosos pintores"[5] about the most famous artists, his painting was on the cover. Denis Kuvayev: "I accepted the honor and took upon the challenge to create outstanding works."[6]
In 2020 Spanish Press Diario Palmero has compared Denis Kuvayev to Salvador Dali.[7]
Denis Kuvayev is famous for his paintings, painted for CD covers[8], book covers,[9], etc.[10]. His painting was published on the Naxos CD cover of the Respighi - Roman Trilogy[11] of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra with JoAnn Falletta[12] - Grammy Awards Winner in 2019.
Photography
Denis Kuvayev is a photographer and the best model is his daughter - Maria Kuvaieva[13]. Maria Kuvaieva is a photo model[14] and an artist[15] with Downs syndrome.[16] She is also a global special needs ambassador.[17] Her photos are known around the world.[18]
Writing
Denis Kuvayev is the author of the book "The Door to a Fairy Tale"[19] which was published in English and Russian by Hertfordshire Press In London 2017
