Degan is a small village of 1405 hectares in Sardarshahar Tehsil in Churu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Degan depends on SARDARSHAHAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 17.78% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Degan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Degan's pin code is 331022[4], and village code is 00619900. The area of Degan is segregated as 17.78 hectares irrigated area, 1233.85 hectares unirrigated, the 7.22 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 146.26 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SARDARSHAHAR and Churu to sell ghee and make their living.
