Odwa Situma (born 11 May 1998)[1] known professionally as Dee Koala is a South African female rapper from Khayelitsha, Cape Town.[2]

Backround

In her childhood, she attended a Muslim school where she took part in arts and poetry.[3] Dee Koala used to write verses and submitted them for school work and curriculum.[4]

Dee has worked with South African hip hop artists Riky Rick and Boity Thulo.[5] They worked on Utatakho remix, which was a remake of the single by Yanga Chief. In 2020 she was nominated[6] and won the SA Hip hop award for Best Female Of The Year.[7]
