DealValue Group is a Dutch holding company that manages digital platforms for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and business transfers. The company was formed in 2023 through the consolidation of the business-transfer platform Brookz and the European M&A platform Dealsuite.[1]
The group operates in the European mid-market and SME (Small and Medium-sized Enterprise) sectors, providing software and data services for M&A professionals.[2]
History
The company was established in 2023 to combine the operations of Brookz and Dealsuite. In October 2023, the Dutch investment firm Value8 acquired a 31% stake in Brookz and subsequently combined it with Dealsuite under the DealValue Group structure.[1][3]
Prior to the consolidation, Dealsuite had raised €3.5 million from Value8 in April 2023 to fund international expansion.[2] Peter Rikhof, the founder of Brookz, was appointed CEO of the new holding company.
Subsidiaries
Dealsuite
Dealsuite is a SaaS platform for M&A professionals, including corporate finance advisors, private equity firms, and corporate acquirers. It was founded in 2017 as a spin-off from Brookz to serve the mid-market segment.[3][4]
The platform facilitates the exchange of buy-side and sell-side mandates. Dealsuite publishes the M&A Monitor, a research report on market trends which is cited by financial media such as Het Financieele Dagblad and trade journals like Accountancy Vanmorgen.[4][5][5]
Brookz
Founded in 2007 by Peter Rikhof, Brookz is an online marketplace for business transfers in the Netherlands, focusing on the SME sector. The platform was established to address limited transparency in the Dutch acquisition market for smaller companies. By 2025, the platform had facilitated more than 9,000 transactions and served a network of approximately 50,000 entrepreneurs and investors.[6][7]
In addition to its digital marketplace, Brookz organizes industry events such as the Nationale Overname Dag (National Takeover Day) and the Fusie & Overname Jaarcongres.[6] It also publishes the Brookz 500, an annual guide listing advisors and investors in the Dutch market.[8]
The platform's research arm produces the Brookz Overname Barometer, a semi-annual report tracking SME valuations and deal flow. This data is frequently used as a reference point by Dutch business media, including Quote and Accountancy Vanmorgen, to report on economic trends in the SME sector.[7]
Operations
The group distinguishes its services between open and closed networks. Brookz operates as an open marketplace for smaller domestic transactions, while Dealsuite functions as a restricted network for validated M&A professionals handling larger, often cross-border transactions.[8]
