Dawara is a small village of 9088 hectares in Fatehgarh Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dawara depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dawara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Dawara's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02067600. The area of Dawara is segregated as 1207 hectares unirrigated, the 7726 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 155 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dawara is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1363 and has total administration over 211 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell coat and make their living.
