David Albert Schnurman (Born on August 3, 1977), is an American Business Man and Entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Lawline, a company that focuses on CLE (Continuing Legal Education).[1] He is married to Kelli Schnurman, and with her, he has 3 children, Joshua Schnurman, Leila Schnurman, and Jonah Schnurman.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he went to George Washington University in DC, where he met his wife Kelli. He later went to New York Law School where he got his law degree and graduated in 2006, and took over Lawline while in Law School in 2005.[2] Lawline began as a television show in 1999, where Alan Schnurman (Father of David Schnurman) would interview important people.[3]
Early Life
Born on August 3, 1977 in Brooklyn, [4] the son of Alan and Judy Schnurman and brother to his older sister Michelle Richman.[5] David attended The Berkeley Carroll School from Pre-K until 12th grade, he graduated in 1995, then he went to The George Washington University and graduated in 1999 where he got a bachelor's degree in the arts, and later he got his law degree at New York Law School and graduated in 2005.[6]
Business Career
Lawline was founded in 1999 by Alan Schnurman.[7] While in Law School David took over Lawline in 2005, and converted it from a television show to CLE company. Lawline is currently the number 1 provider in Continuing Legal Education.[8] He also wrote a book called The Fast Forward Mindset.[9] And wrote a blog called The First 100 Days.[10] He is also a motivational speaker, he did a TEDx|TEDx Talk in May of 2019.[11]
He also is an active member in Entrepreneurs' Organization and Young Presidents' Organization. He served as the president of Entrepreneurs' Organization from 2018 to 2019. He joined Young Presidents' Organization in 2022.
Personal Life
David met his wife Kelli Kalimi Schnurman in Washington D.C. Where they both attended George Washington University. They later got married in 2004.[12] With her, he had 3 children, Joshua Schnurman (Born in 2008), Leila Schnurman (born in 2008), and Jonah Schnurman (Born in 2013).[13] His 2 oldest children, Joshua and Leila are currently attending Davids Alma Mater Berkeley Carroll School, while Jonah attends PS 321.
In 2019 he moved to Barcelona, Spain for 2 years with his family.[14] They moved back to Park Slope, Brooklyn in June of 2021.[15] David has traveled all across the world, giving motivational speeches.
