David Santiago (born February 6, 1982) is a Latino American serial entrepreneur, consultant, motivational speaker, business coach, mentor, and US Marine Corps Veteran. He is the founder of Scalp Solutions, a renowned non-surgical hair loss studio known for offering a vast range of services; Scalp Solutions Grooming Co, a product line of after-care products and hair maintenance; Sanport Group, a trucking and consulting firm; Sanport Logistics, a dispatching and logistics firm; Latinopreneur and Hudson Valley Teeth Whitening.[1]

Santiago is a certified scalp micropigmentation practitioner, certified trichologist, and New York State licensed master barber. He is best known as a leading scalp micropigmentation practitioner in New York City.[2]

Early life and education

Santiago was born on February 6, 1982, to Celestino Santiago and Ivelisse Torres in the South Bronx, NY. He was raised by a single mother in a financially weak household. Santiago completed his primary education at Cardinal Hayes High School with the help of a scholarship from the local church.

Soon after his high school graduation in 2000, Santiago enrolled in Pace University to pursue a degree in computer science. He dropped out of college to enlist in the United States Marine Corps.

Career

Santiago started his barbering career when he was 13 years old. At the age of 19, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he continued to offer barbering services to his fellow Marines. During his time there, he also served at The National Naval Medical Center. Santiago served for 13 years in the United States Marine Corps including two tours to Iraq.[6][7]

In 2017, Santiago established Scalp Solutions, a nonsurgical hair loss studio, with the aim to offer premium hair loss options and solutions. In 2021, Santiago expanded his brand to include Scalp Solutions Grooming Co.,a product line of after-care products and hair maintenance.[8][9][10]

Santiago is also the founder and CEO of Sanport Group, a firm that offers trucking, logistics, and consulting services across the US. He is also the co-owner of Sanport Logistics, which provides dispatching and consulting services and Hudson Valley Teeth Whitening, a boutique laser teeth whitening studio.[11][12]

Santiago is also the CEO and founder of the Latinopreneur Organization, which works for the upliftment of Latino entrepreneurs and their cultural development.[13][14][15]

Personal life

Santiago has two daughters named Kayla & Kiley Santiago.
