David 'Long Neck' Proud, commonly referred to as DJ Proud, is a British/Australian swimming coach. David Proud is a part of an elite swim coaching core at Nudgee College swimming club in Brisbane Australia, standing pool deck side-by-side with some of the greatest swimming coaches present on this planet. Michaela Mary-Pattinson, Miki Musha, Matt Wilson and George Harnetty. David has been lucky enough to coach some of the most elite athletes in the nation, winning medals and breaking records in this years 2021 National Swimming Titles. In addition to this, David is also the coach of the world record holder, Para-Olympian, William Martin (swimmer). David's ever growing swimming success ends there. In the recent years he has brought home the GPS Swimming Championship to two schools, St Joseph's College, Nudgee and The Southport School. David's succession is evident after St Joseph's Nudgee College - as quoted by the great Jaiden Marshall '...yeah nah get the three peat baby." - won three GPS Swimming titles in succession.

Music Career

David Proud has had a short stint as a professional DJ at local clubs and schools including St Joseph's College, Nudgee. Many of the students at the school really enjoy his DJing skills, especially when he plays Robert Miles - Children [Dream Version]. David's exuberant taste in music brings joy to the men and women around him, however, he once partied too hard at a wedding he couldn't even stand up. His over the top partying also caused one of his swimming coach partners to leave the club, this of course being Samuel Fisher.
