David Ogbueli (born 28 April 1968) is a Nigerian pastor, General Overseer of Dominion City Church in Abuja.[1]
Early life
Chukwudi David Ogbueli was born 28 April 1968 in Alor, Anambra, Idemili South, in Anambra State, Nigeria, to Justin and Felicia Ogbueli.[2]
Education
He had his primary education at the Umuoshi Primary School Alor and his secondary education at the Orifice Boys Grammar School, now known as the Boys Secondary School, Oraifite.
He then gained admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) to study Industrial Chemistry, graduating with a bachelor of science degree.
Ministry
David Ogbueli started a campus fellowship in 1991 called The New Covenant Family, at the University of Nigeria; a fellowship that expanded its meetings to other tertiary institutions in Nigeria.[3]
In 1995, Dominion City started off as a small fellowship at Marcus Garvey Street, Enugu with a mandate to "raise leaders that transform society". The church has grown to over 750 chapters across all the major cities in Nigeria, with chapters in Accra, Kampala and Johannesburg. Dominion City also has a presence in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Pastor David is the host of the TV and Radio Program Expand Your World, which runs on TV and radio stations across Nigeria.[4]
Golden Heart Foundation
David Ogbueli is the President of the Golden Heart Foundation, a non-governmental organization with a mandate to raise dynamic leaders that will be agents of national transformation. Its central focus is value-reorientation, leadership education, youth empowerment and entrepreneurial development.[5]
The Foundation convenes the annual National Youth Summit in partnership with the Institute for National Transformation.[6]
Publications
David Ogbueli is the author of several books, including Discipleship Codes: Installing the Divine Nature in Every Believer[7], Praying Through the Gates of Time[8] and The Glory of the Eagle[9], available in hardcopy as well as in digital on recognised book stores globally.
Personal life
David Ogbueli married Sarah Ogbueli in 1996. He is the father of four children, two sons and two daughters.[10]
