Dr. David Andrew Morell is a Canadian former sports broadcaster for CFNB radio in New Brunswick, and the voice of the Fredericton Express Hockey Team from 1981-1988. Morell was later the first Marketing and Events Manager for University of New Brunswick Athletics Department in Fredericton from 2001 until his retirement in 2016.[1]
Early Life
David Morell was born in Saint John, New Brunswick to Jim and Vesta (Webber) Morell.[citation needed] The family relocated to Fredericton in the early 1950s, when David's father Jim, accepted a new job posting with the New Brunswick Power company. This would begin the Morell's close association with the city of Fredericton, and in particular David Morell's connection to CFNB and the University of New Brunswick.
