David MacGregor Means(May 1, 1841--April 24, 1931) was the former assistant editor of The Nation.[1] He wrote many economic books such as The Boss, Industrial Freedom,[2] and The Methods of Taxation Compared with the Established Principles of Justice.[3] He was born in Groton, Massachusetts on May 1, 1847 and died in Manhattan on April 24, 1931 after an illness.[4] He also served as a lawyer, and was an associate of E.L. Godkin.[5]
